Gas analysis: from ppt to percents
Infrared gas analysis opens up new possibilities for obtaining accurate and fast qualitative and quantitative information. It is thus used in the analysis of trace impurities in pure gases and at the same time in the analysis of concentrated gas mixtures in industry (on-line monitoring) and the environment (e.g. analysis of flue gases, immissions etc.).

We offer several options for the application of infrared gas analysis in your workplace:
- Dedicated gas FT-IR analyzer Nicolet Antaris IGS
- Nicolet iG50 process FT-IR analyzer
- The gas cuvettes can be applied to all of our spectrometers
- Combination of infrared spectroscopy with thermogravimetry (FT-IR TGA)
- Combination of infrared spectroscopy with gas chromatography (FT-IR GC)
- Remote sensing FT-IR spectroscopy
Gaseous samples differ significantly from condensed phase samples. The main difference stems from the low density of gases. While the samples in condensed phase are the most commonly tens of a millimeter to a few centimeters thick, for gaseous samples it is necessary to use an optical path in the order of tens of meters to achieve the same absorbances. That is why we also offer a wide range of gas cuvettes with an optical path of 5 cm to 200 meters. We will be happy to advise you according to your application which one of them is suitable for you. For more demanding applications, we also offer cuvettes with variable optical path or special cuvettes (controlled heating, measurement and control of pressure in the cuvette, special cuvette material for measuring highly aggressive gases, etc.).
