STReam-1064 is the latest addition to B&W Tek’s broad portfolio of handheld and portable Raman spectrometers. Thanks to the 1064 nm excitation laser and brand new data processing technology, the STRam-1064 has the ability to overcome the strong fluorescence of so-called “kraft” paper. Kraft paper is a common pharmaceutical packaging material that emits extreme fluorescence when measuring Raman spectra for wavelengths of 785 nm (and all other shorter excitation wavelengths). STRam-1064 thus makes it possible to obtain high-quality Raman spectra despite this packaging material!
