Thanks to their unique electrical, optical and mechanical properties, they open the door to new technologies in quantum computing, optoelectronics and energy storage. However, to fully exploit their potential, accurate analytical methods are crucial.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"526\" data-end=\"1096\">This is where the SNOM microscope <a href=\"https:\/\/nicoletcz.cz\/en\/product\/cryo-neascopexs\/\"><strong data-start=\"549\" data-end=\"569\">cryo-neaSCOPE+XS<\/strong><\/a> comes in: a tool that delivers nanometer-scale imaging across a broad spectral range from the visible to the infrared to terahertz. Its cryogenic measurement solution enables the study of materials at temperatures down to 4 K, which is essential for investigating quantum phenomena, superconductivity, and phase transitions. Advanced spectroscopic capabilities enable hyperspectral imaging and detailed analysis of local optical responses \u2013 all contributing to a deeper understanding of plasmonic and excitonic phenomena in 2D semiconductors.  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1216\">The <strong>A<\/strong><strong data-start=\"1103\" data-end=\"1144\">ttocube 2D Materials Conference 2024<\/strong> brought a number of inspiring presentations, which you can now watch:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong data-start=\"2\" data-end=\"74\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Imaging optical quasiparticles in 2D materials<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em data-start=\"1285\" data-end=\"1327\">William Wilson (Harvard University, USA)<\/em> presented advanced research in nanoscience and quantum technologies. Using scan-probe techniques, he visualized complex phenomena such as polaritons and correlated electron systems, and showed innovative applications of these methods in interdisciplinary research. <br data-start=\"1582\" data-end=\"1585\"><a href=\"https:\/\/marketing.attocube.com\/acton\/ct\/4434\/s-022a-2503\/Bct\/q-0267\/l-unified-contacts:2461\/ct8_1\/1\/lu?sid=TV2%3Aw3xbDcZ2r\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1585\" data-end=\"1607\">\u27a1 Watch the recording here<\/a><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1611\" data-end=\"1931\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Cryogenic s-SNOM studies of topological insulators and 2D materials<\/strong><\/span><br data-start=\"1683\" data-end=\"1686\"><em data-start=\"1686\" data-end=\"1733\">Jessica Boland (University of Manchester, UK)<\/em> demonstrated the potential of cryogenic s-SNOM in the field of topological insulators and terahertz devices.
