The main difference stems from the low density of gases. While the samples in condensed phase are the most commonly tens of a millimeter to a few centimeters thick, for gaseous samples it is necessary to use an optical path in the order of tens of meters to achieve the same absorbances. That is why we also offer a wide range of gas cuvettes with an optical path of 5 cm to 200 meters. We will be happy to advise you according to your application which one of them is suitable for you.
