TacticID-GP Plus and TacticID-N Plus use the principles of Raman spectroscopy to obtain very fast and accurate results using an excitation laser with a wavelength of 785 nm. The method of Raman spectroscopy is non-destructive, the integrity of the samples will remain intact for any further evidence process or forensic evidence.
The spectrometer is controlled by very intuitive software, which is also suitable for almost untrained personnel. A large number of optional accessories (vial holder, rectangular adapter, adapter for measuring in bottles,…) allows the measurement of substances in both liquid and solid state. The software also includes commercial spectral databases of Raman spectra containing from about 1,200 to more than 12,000 hazardous chemicals, explosives, narcotics, substances for the production of narcotics and substances used for drug dilution, etc. according to the selected model. New libraries of Raman spectra can be created, exanded, or transferred from one device to another.
Optional accessories include the TAP-KIT-T, which allows the measurement of samples using the SERStechnique (surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy). This technique makes it possible to analyze, for example, real heroin samplesthat otherwise show fairly strong fluorescence, or very low concentrations of some (even pharmaceutical) drugs.
